Social Networks in the virtual world
When people use the term ‘Social Networks’ today chances are that they don’t refer to the local knitting group or the AA meeting they did - or did not - attend last weekend. They are most likely talking about virtual social networking and if you don’t know what that is - boy are you going to need to get up to speed.
Something happened to our society at end of the 80’s (apart from really bad hair and questionable fashion sense). That something crept up on us and took over over lives, our jobs and now how we interact with each other. The something I’m referring to is - the Personal Computer.
It started out innocently enough with word processing, some spreadsheets and limited database capabilities but that was just the gate-way applications. Little did we know what was in store for us and how our lives would be changed for ever. How could we possibly had known that just a few years later that innocent looking machine in front of us would be our portal into a world where we would mingle with people from all over the world, make meaningful - and meaningless - relationships, slay dragons, exchange cooking advice and meet the love of our life.
And if we had known - would we had wanted it any other way?
Join me in this blog as we explore and discover the virtual worlds that millions of people find more comforting than the real life equivalence and how these virtual social networks effects the way you live you way.

Sadly for me, as an introvert, it does seem that social networking has now become the standard and not the exception. One must be everywhere to succeed in web business.
I applaud your blog start up and will be an avid reader;)
